Hubert's Intro Blog

This Photoshop rendering started out as an image of the UNSW science theatre and science theatre lawn. The goal was to completely redesign the sapce in order to practice rendering an image using PS. In this piece, I tried to use as many different features as I could in order to create the end product and to utilise as many of the PS tools I was familiar with. As well as gaining some PS experience I learnt to render using stock images to create a realistic image and utilising effects such as a dynamic edge.

I came across the image of the Park Royal in Singapore on Instagram and was instantly intrigued by the incorporation of the green space into the building. The way that it was incorporated was unique and provides the outdoor balcony with a more natural feel offered by the openness. I also liked how the vertical view of this image creates a juxtaposition of the greenery and the urban environment as the city traffic and glass high rise borders the bright green feature.

Cars and Coffee is an event for owners of exotic cars to come together and put their pride and joy on display for the public to view. This particular event was held on Jones Bay Wharf and I captured this photo of a McLaren 570GT departing the event. Although this particular angle of the car doesn't show off any particular features of the car, the dark environment of the tunnel, skylights and cobblestone create a feeling that I felt matches the elegance and sophisticated character of the car.
